Red Rock News September 2018 – 3D crane for new service operation vessel
Red Rock have signed a contract with Ulstein Verft AS for delivery of a 3D-motion compensated knuckle jib crane for delivery to their Hull number 315, which is an ULSTEIN SX195 designed service operation vessel (SOV) for delivery to the German-based Bernhard Schulte.
The vessel will be delivered early 2020, and is the third SOV vessel Ulstein is building for Bernhard Schulte. Red Rock also delivered cranes and davits to the two previous vessels, Windea La Cour and Windea Leibniz.
This crane will be the second 3D-motion compensated crane from Red Rock, and when delivered, Red Rock will have various cranes, davits and gangway onboard 15 different vessels operating within the Offshore Wind Service segment, an impressing track record achieved only since 2015.
